The Brook Street Club is a snooker and social club, wholly owned by its 70 or so members. It has been in existence since before the First World War and was known as Knutsford Liberal Club until recently. There is a plaque in the snooker room which commemorates Club members who fought and some who died for our country in The First World War.

The building is quite old and one senses a feeling of history and fond memories on entering the cosy bar and snooker room. The Club remains viable due mainly to the work members put into it, without asking for payment. Membership has been declining in recent years and so we are actively encouraging new members. The Club has a very friendly atmosphere, so if you join you will soon get to know everyone and will be able to go out by yourself any night and know you will be amongst friends.
The bar stocks a wide range of drinks at very reasonable prices. The most popular beers are Theakston's Bitter, Fosters Lager and bottles of Carlsberg Export. Our "Doubles Bar" is becoming increasingly popular as we offer double measures of Whisky, Vodka, Brandy or Gin for only £1.30.

The upstairs function room can be hired for special occasions or on a weekly basis for groups that meet regularly. It has a dance floor and the bar can be opened if required. Hire rates are very reasonable. Enquiries can be made by phone. The room is home to Knutsford Operatic Society.

The snooker room has two first class tables that are kept in excellent condition. We have two successful snooker teams, which cater for a range of abilities. It is possible to play every night except Sunday, and also Tuesday afternoons. Any matches usually finish by 9.30, so snooker can be played on any night.
We also have a Pool team and Pool Room which is popular with the younger members.
